Paradigm™ Launches Major Student Sponsorship at 77th Annual SEG Meeting

Donor agreement with SEG Foundation seeks to inspire tomorrow’s geoscientists

(SAN ANTONIO, Texas: September 25, 2007) Paradigm™ (www.pdgm.com), a leading provider of enterprise software solutions to the global oil and natural gas exploration and production industry, announced today at the 77th Annual SEG Meeting that it has become a leadership investor in the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) Foundation’s Advancing Geophysics Today, Inspiring Geoscientists for Tomorrow campaign.

Paradigm will support the SEG Student Membership program through five annual payments totaling $437,500 to the SEG Foundation, an Oklahoma-based non-profit corporation, to benefit students entering the field of geophysics. The intent of this program is to make SEG student membership globally accessible to all students interested in geophysics. Today the SEG has over 7,000 student members.

“Geophysics students are the foundation for the future of many applied geo-engineering industries, and in particular global oil and gas exploration industries” said John W. Gibson, Jr., president and CEO of Paradigm. “The world demands more efficient and responsible exploration, development and production of the earth’s resources. Together with the SEG, we are developing a new generation of geophysics science and business leaders to address that challenge. We are committed to supporting the development of these students as they pursue the challenges of this dynamic field.”

“The SEG Foundation has a long history of supporting students through scholarships and travel grants. We are committed to encouraging and engaging the geoscientists of the future with new and innovative student programs. The first step is membership in SEG, and for many students around the world the cost of membership is a barrier to accessing all the benefits that SEG and the SEG Foundation provide” said Gary Servos, Board Chair of the SEG Foundation. “By partnering with Paradigm– a well-respected, established leader in global oil and gas exploration technology – we are directly engaging the future of geosciences and making a positive impact on society for years to come.”

Paradigm, which helps global oil and gas companies locate new reserves and accurately measure existing reserve data, is once again participating in this year’s SEG Annual Meeting in San Antonio on September 23-26 at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center (Hall C, Booth #1812). Paradigm is participating with the theme, “Vision for Energy,” which emphasizes its 20 years of technology innovation in subsurface visualization, modeling and data analysis.

The SEG Student Membership dues program will be offered to all applicants, beginning with the 2008 membership year, starting October 1, 2007.
