EarthStudy 360 Illuminator Plus contains all the functionalities of the Illuminator, plus the ability to perform ray tracing in batch mode along fine 3D grids for the generation of full-azimuth illumination gathers, volumes and maps. The grid-based ray tracing is supported by Paradigm’s HPC framework and can run efficiently on multi-node clusters. Ray tracing output contains both directional (diffraction) and reflection ray attribute gathers, that can be displayed and analyzed in the Velocity Navigator and 3D Canvas (gather mode), as well as in the new 3D Gather Visualizer and a new multi-gather 2D window. Illuminator Plus is aimed at advanced users, including GeoDepth users who do velocity model building and imaging.
