Paradigm GOCAD® Time to Depth Conversion

Quickly perform domain conversion between time and depth of interpretation and reservoir objects. Once the velocity model has been constructed, simple time-to-depth conversions (such as vertical stretch-and-squeeze) can be performed on horizons, faults and 3D stratigraphic grids.

Velocities may also be transformed (between RMS, interval and average) and/or converted into rock properties using either the Equation Parser or the Property Scripting Tool.

Velocity models can be exported to ray-tracing tools to perform time-depth conversions using image-ray techniques. Image-ray time-depth tables (from NORSAR, for example) may later be imported to time-depth convert objects such as faults and grids more accurately.

Time-to-Depth Facilities Include:

  • Time-to-depth conversion of seismic horizons, faults and 3D stratigraphic grids
  • Velocity conversion
