Paradigm OpsLink provides the ability to make rapid and informed decisions when drilling to maximize productivity and minimize drilling costs. Fast and flexible access to real-time WITSML*-based MWD and LWD data provides key decision making information required by asset teams.
Paradigm’s OpsLink WITSML™ receiver enables the automated acquisition of real time data from wellsite service providers using the WITSML industry standard. Data is delivered to the desktop for use with a wide range of Paradigm workflows, including geosteering, petrophysical analysis and survey management.
Data Mapping
Paradigm OpsLink provides a graphical representation of databases for mapping real time data objects from a WITSML source to specific data repository. It provides the user with a view of both the source and the destination data structures enabling the subscription to be easily mapped. The OpsLink interface includes an Item Description panel that provides more detailed information about the available data.
Data Capture
OpsLink supports two modes of operation for obtaining data: import and subscription. The import mode enables data to be acquired from a WITSML file or a WITSML server as a one-time download. The subscription mode allows data to be streamed on a continuous update basis. Through a subscription, the user can control the frequency of updates to the data repository and can specify whether existing data is to be replaced. Once a subscription has been initiated, it typically requires no further user intervention. To provide maximum compatibility with WITSML providers, the OpsLink subscription mode supports both the WITSML Publish and WITSML Store protocols.
Data Management
OpsLink supports multiple simultaneous subscriptions from multiple WITSML providers. Once defined, these subscriptions can be managed from a single subscription panel. An Event Manager provides detailed status information to monitor the condition of current subscriptions and also provides a history log to monitor WITSML service provider performance. During an active subscription, OpsLink automatically handles loss and reconnection of connectivity to a WITSML provider.
Data Storage
Through Paradigm Epos (data management and interoperability integration framework), users have the option to sort data acquired by OpsLink in Paradigm data repositories, such as the Paradigm Geolog® well data repository or the Paradigm Sysdrill™ drilling database. It is also possible to populate third-party data repositories such as OpenWorks® and GeoFrame™ with no need to reformat or replicate data.
