Paradigm™ Hosts Charity Golf Tournament Benefiting KICKSTART Foundation

2008 marks first time annual tournament incorporates charitable cause

(HOUSTON, Texas: June 17, 2008) Paradigm™ (www.pdgm.com), a leading provider of enterprise software solutions to the global oil and natural gas exploration and production (E&P) industry, recently held its Annual E&P Executive Tournament benefiting KICKSTART, a Houston-based charity. Paradigm management and industry partners gathered to raise funds and awareness for the KICKSTART Foundation, which encourages students to resolve conflict productively, avoid participating in gangs, choose drug-free lifestyles and remain in school until they graduate.

“We are appreciative of Paradigm and the Houston E&P community and their commitment to the KICKSTART mission,” said Stephen D. Kelley, executive director of KICKSTART. “This donation is a great contribution, and it is wonderful to know that our efforts to better the lives of children have the support of the local energy industry.”

2008 marks the 6th Annual E&P Executive Golf Tournament hosted by Paradigm and is the first year the tournament incorporated a charitable fundraiser. E&P executives from leading energy companies attended the tournament, which was held at the Redstone Golf Course in Houston, Texas.

“This event illustrates the industry’s commitment to work together on common goals that benefit the community and supports a cause dedicated to instilling moral values in our youth,” said James Lamb, Paradigm’s U.S. regional vice president. “The turnout set a new record again this year, which is a testament of the E&P community’s dedication to give back and make a difference in the lives of at-risk students.”

KICKSTART is a program that was founded by Gena and Chuck Norris in 1990, with the mission to change and save children’s lives. Based on the belief that resiliency is enhanced through the values and philosophies taught through martial arts, the KICKSTART karate program replaces many missing elements of students’ lives, such as a role model, a chance to set and reach goals and a feeling of belief in themselves.

About KICKSTART Foundation
The KICKSTART program is a daily, in-school curriculum within middle schools from 6th through 8th grade. Students enroll in KICKSTART as an elective or in place of traditional PE. Martial Arts training serves as the vehicle to instill the values and skills necessary to develop character, strengthen self-esteem, and enhance resiliency so that students learn to take responsibility for their behavior, resist negative peer pressure and make responsible decisions. An after-school program and summer program are also offered so that participation is available 11-months out of the year. KICKSTART serves approximately 6,000 students in 38 schools within 10 different school districts in Houston and Dallas. During the 2008/2009 academic-year, KICKSTART will be expanding to five (5) new schools and a new region - Austin, TX.
