Velocity Modeling
Paradigm GOCAD 2009 Velocity Modeling enables 2D or 3D grid construction and time-to-depth conversions by modeling the entire geologic column, enabling accurate location of potential reservoirs and mapping of potential drilling hazards. Using the power of multi-Z surface modeling, The Velocity Modeling module enables the user to construct velocity grids in areas with complex salt bodies. Using the power of GOCAD geostatistics, GOCAD Velocity Modeling enables the user to mix pre-stack velocity picks and check-shot and/or time-depth curves to extrapolate velocities away from wells. Using the power of GOCAD structural modeling, horizon/marker mismatch information can be used to correct background velocity model.

Engineering Modeling
The Paradigm GOCAD 2009 Engineering Modeling bundle provides a collaborative modeling environment that allows the persistence of data and knowledge between geology and reservoir engineering and dramatically improves project turn-around time while yielding geologically-sound production forecasts and production-coherent geological models. The LGR and Upscaler module contains flow-based upscaling technique for permeability upscaling. The Production Data Analysis module let the user import multiple simulation results to compare flow simulation results with the associated geological models.
