High-quality maps with gridding and contouring

Mapping

For all your geophysical, geological and production data.

Map displayed in SeisEarth BaseMap window

Mapping is performed in the Paradigm® SeisEarth® BaseMap window which, together with the 3D Canvas and Section windows, provides an integrated environment for all interpretation workflows and activities.

BaseMap includes a rich set of gridding algorithms that enable users to produce maps from diverse data, including horizon and fault interpretation (single- and multi-survey), vertical functions, well markers, well logs, and historical production data. The gridding is bounded by outlines generated automatically or manually in BaseMap, 3D Canvas or the SKUA® modeling application.

BaseMap benefits

  • Enhanced efficiency through simultaneous generation of multiple grids and contour maps for multiple horizons
  • Multiple independent surface gridding options supporting a variety of needs and workflows
  • Full control of all map layers, surveys, and their visual priority
  • The system stores all gridding input data and mapping parameters, for easy auditability
  • High-quality, customizable data displays and an interactive hardcopy composition, editing, and layout utility
  • Data preview for easy QC and validation prior to interpolation and mapping operations
  • Enhanced workflow productivity and reliability through the interactive connection between BaseMap, 3D Canvas and Section windows, which enables real-time data updates in all three windows
