Paradigm and TerraSpark Geosciences to Collaborate in the Development of TerraSpark Connectors
The connectors to the Paradigm Epos repository will enable TerraSpark users to directly access data in Epos.(AMSTERDAM, Netherlands: September 19, 2011) Paradigm™ (www.pdgm.com) announced its agreement with TerraSpark® Geosciences (www.terraspark.com) that will result in the development of Insight Earth® connectors to the Paradigm™ Epos® infrastructure for effective integration between the two systems. The link will be developed and maintained by TerraSpark and will be built using the Epos OpenGeo® programming toolkit. The announcement was made at the 2011 SEG International Exposition and 81st Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX.
“We are looking forward to the opportunity for our customers who are also Paradigm users to be able to take advantage of our unique seismic interpretation capabilities without having to deal with cumbersome data format conversions,” said Geoffrey Dorn, CEO of TerraSpark. “Developing connectors to our Insight Earth software platform will enable Paradigm users to exploit the unique problem-solving abilities of our patented technologies such as Automated Fault Extraction™, Surface Wrapping™ and Domain Transformation™.”
The cross-vendor interoperability that will be enabled through the TerraSpark connectors will expand the Paradigm 3D interpretation workflow available to geoscientists to seamlessly apply advanced software solutions on data across the Paradigm multidisciplinary integration framework. The OpenGeo programming toolkit makes it possible to extend workflows to include solutions from multiple vendors.
“The agreement with TerraSpark that will deliver direct connectivity of the Insight Earth solutions to the Paradigm Epos data repository further demonstrates a strong commitment to openness and cross-vendor connectivity,” said Duane Dopkin, executive vice president of technology at Paradigm. “It is a reflection on the growth of Epos as a repository of choice for a growing number of customers who leverage our next generation solutions for comprehensive workflows from seismic to simulation.”
